Alghero and the Coral Riviera
A walled old town, Capo Caccia, the beaches of Le Bombarde and Mugoni, direct flights to many European capitals. An established international community and full services: this is where I live and work.
Seven areas, seven ways of living on the island. For each: character, nearest airport, average asking prices per m² in the main towns and who it suits best. It is the first question my clients from abroad ask me.
A walled old town, Capo Caccia, the beaches of Le Bombarde and Mugoni, direct flights to many European capitals. An established international community and full services: this is where I live and work.
Porto Cervo, Porto Rotondo, the La Maddalena archipelago, San Teodoro. Top prices, strong international and summer-rental demand; inland, Tempio and Luras offer granite stazzi at very different prices.
Sassari has services, a university hospital and the port of Porto Torres minutes away; the Sorso and Platamona coast is close. Inland, stone houses at some of the most affordable prices in Italy.
From Posada and Siniscola to Orosei and Cala Gonone (Dorgali): white beaches, the Supramonte mountains and living traditions. Coastal prices still far below Gallura.
The cliffs of Baunei and Cala Goloritzé, the port of Arbatax in Tortolì, villages where people live long and slowly. Further from the airports, and that is why it is still unspoilt.
The Sinis peninsula with Is Arutas and Tharros, Cabras and its lagoon, colourful Bosa on the Temo river. A lightly built coast and some of the most interesting prices on the island.
Cagliari offers every city service, the port and the main airport; to the east Villasimius and Castiadas, to the west Pula and Chia (Domus de Maria); further west the islands of Carloforte and Sant’Antioco.

People receiving a foreign pension who move their tax residence to Italy, to a town in the South with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants (all of Sardinia is among the eligible regions), can opt for a 7% substitute tax on all foreign income for ten tax years. Many of the island’s best-loved coastal towns are below that threshold. Requirements and the choice of town must be checked with an accountant: I help you find the right home in the right town.
